Our Promotion Day at the Guildhall yesterday (20th September) was very successful, in spite of the bad weather and the Navy having to re-locate to the Guildhall.

We had quite a number of new members join – including a couple who were members a very long time ago. Plus one lady renewed, having been lapsed since 2018.

Several people stated an intent to join us at the next General Meeting or to join online.

The Lady Mayoress, who had been attending the Royal Navy Freedom of the City celebrations, stopped for a chat with some of our members, including Brian Sabel, one of our founders and the very first chairman of Plymouth u3a.
