Walking boots recommended, hiking poles, rain-gear, snack. Be prepared for steep sections & mud. Average time 4 hours. Help identify trees, wild flowers, grasses, birds and birdsong, insects, fungi, mosses, ferns, lichens, animal tracks and signs. Sorry, no children or dogs.
16 May South Brent –-> Wrangaton. Join leader on Stagecoach Gold at Royal Parade stop A13 at 10:40. Woods, fields, moor, lanes. First half uphill. 2½ miles.
20 June Rame ---> Cawsand. Join leader on GoBus 70 at Royal Parade stop A3 at 1025. Coast & woodland. Bring ££ for return ferry/café. 4 miles.
18 July Churchtown Farm Nature Reserve. Join leader on Stagecoach 2 at Royal Parade stop A6 at 10:27. Meadows. Steep sections. 2 miles.
15 August Dartington Estate. Join leader on Stagecoach Gold at Royal Parade stop A13 at 10:40. Woods & river meadows. Some steep slopes & steep woodland steps. Muddy after rain. 4 miles.

There may be associated visits arranged for other times, e.g. observing bats on a summer evening. Members will be informed in advance.
The object of the group is to observe and share knowledge about all forms of wildlife, and enjoy an outing with like minded folk. Walking boots, rain gear and hiking poles are usually recommended, also a drink and packed lunch. Binoculars will be useful. Distances up to about 4 miles and up to 4 hours are estimates. Mud and steep sections may be encountered.
